| This part of the coastline has very beautiful coral lined beaches. Famous beaches include Tiwi beach, Diani beach, Shelly beach etc. This is a good place to visit for those interested in water sports like scuba diving, windsurfing etc. The annual sky diving event attracts many divers from around the world. |

Malindi is the second largest town on the Kenyan Coast and is famous for the Malindi Marine National Park, deep-sea fishing and windsurfing. The Kenya Falconry where there are caged birds of prey is also located here. Your will notice the Italian influence on this town and especially on the resorts. |

:: Watamu
|
| Watamu is located south of Malindi, it has a more interesting coastline than some of the popular sandy beaches. The beach has a series of sandy bays separated by distinctive rocky outcrops that you can walk to when tide is low. Here you will find the Watamu Marine Park and not to mention the Bioken Snake farm with a wide range of local snake species.
Arabuko Sokoke, the largest surviving coastal dry forest in East Africa is found in this area. and is a interesting destination for bird watchers. |

:: Fort Jesus

Built in 1593 by the Portuguese, it was used as a transit point for slave trade. Currently it is a museum with beautiful historic artifacts. Its interior comprises of torture rooms and prison cells where slaves were kept before being traded. Weapons such as canons are on display. |

This is an Arab-Swahili town that was deserted in the 17th century, and is today a museum with well-trained guides. It is located on the outskirts of Arabuko Sokoke forest and includes houses, mosques, tombs and cemeteries. |

It is well known for its ancient buildings dating over 100 years. The architectural designs are based on British, Indian and Swahili cultures. A guided tour round the town on foot is worth trying. |
