This safari takes you from Nairobi to L. Nakuru National Park through the scenic riftvalley view. Then you proceed to the Masai Mara for an opportunity to see the big 5,leopards, cheetah, hyenas, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, topi, baboons, warthogs, buffalo, zebra and over 450 birds species. Afterwards you proceed to the Serengeti Park in Tanzania, Ngorongoro Crater, Arusha and back to Nairobi

One of the most requested events in the migration is the arrival crossing of the Mara River that occurs around late July to August with parts of September and again on their return south, around the last two weeks of October through early November. These are the best times to track and see the annual wildebeest migration in Masai Mara. While the sight of masses of animals thundering across the open plains is spectacular, the Mara River crossing will take you through a range of emotions – awe, anticipation, heartache, inspiration, excitement and much more. The crossing is the subject of many documentary films from the BBC to the National Geographic, but even superb filmmaking cannot give you the experience of being on-site.

Serengeti is Tanzania’s largest and best-known national park, with a massive concentration of migratory animals who move around the park according to the availability of food.
Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. The park also supports many further species, including cheetah, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, topi, eland, water buck, hyena, baboon, impala, African wild dog and giraffe. The park also boasts over 400 bird species, including ostrich, secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, lovebirds and many species of vultures. Based on fossil evidence found at the Olduvai Gorge, it is known that various hominid species have occupied the area for 3 million years

The annual wildbeest and zebras migration passes through the Ngoro Ngoro Conservation , with moving south into the area in December and moving north in June. This movement changes seasonally with the rains, but the migration will traverse almost the entire plains in search of food. The has a healthy resident population of most species of wildlife, in particular the Ndutu Lake area to the west has strong cheetah and lion populations. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge perched by the crater rim.

Day 7:Ngoro Ngoro Crater -Arusha-Nairobi
After breakfast a 4-wheel drive vehicle will take you 2000ft down to the crater, ascend back to Arusha and Connect afternoon Scheduled Shuttle Bus Drop off at the airport

The park is one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals. There are no giraffe, topi or impala in the park – they probably find it to difficult to negotiate the crater rim cliffs and there is also insufficient grazing for large herds of antelope, inside the park. However the park teems with wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, aggressive pack hunting hyenas and resident lion prides. Supported by a year round supply of water and fodder, the park supports a vast variety of animals, which include impressive herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, giant elephants and a small population of black rhino. Another big draw to this picturesque park is it dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever elusive leopard. Over 500 species of bird have been recorded within the park
